Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get a notification in the event of power loss?

Your Pynged device reacts in real time to power events. You will receive a notification within seconds of a power failure or restoration. If the device fails to send the notification on the first try (due to network congestion or failure for instance), it will retry within a few minutes.

Where is cellular coverage available for my Pynged device?

LTE Service is available in the US, Canada and Mexico. 3G Service is available worldwide. However, due to 3G being deprecated around the globe, a new worldwide (ex-north america) LTE device is being developed and will be available in 2023.

After losing power and Wi-Fi, how does Pynged know that power was restored?

Pynged Power is equipped with an internal battery that keeps it powered for multiple days through a power loss. Pynged Power also has standalone cellular connectivity. It doesn't need a Wi-Fi connection to send out any notifications.
